Information Details:

05/03 - Lego Club is held the first Thursday of every month for ages 6 and up at the Dillsburg Library. We will provide Legos for this event. This program is free and no registration is required.

05/04 - Give Local York - For the first time ever, York County will be transformed into a community-wide celebration of generosity benefiting hundreds of local nonprofit organizations, presented by the York Federal Fellows Alumni. Join us at the free celebratory events (click her for flyer)

05/08, 5/22, 05/29 - Chair Yoga at the Dillsburg Senior Center (1 North Second St) from 3:30-4:20pm. This is a gentle style of yoga that's great for beginners and those who find practicing yoga while standing the whole time difficult. Cost is $10 a class or four classes for $30 ($7.50 a class). 05/09-05/12 - Used Book Sale - Dillsburg Library's Spring Used Book Sale begins Saturday, May 5 at 6:00am and runs through Saturday, May 12, during regular library hours. Proceeds from the sale benefit our summer reading program. Items for sale include books, DVDs, CDs, and puzzles.

05/10 & 05/24- Sit, Stay, Read - Youth readers can practice with Bliss, a trained service dog who loves to listen. Register for a 15-minute block by calling 717-432-5613 or stopping by the front desk at the Dillsburg Library.

05/12 - PickleFest activities include a street fair featuring a variety of arts and crafts vendors along with businesses, local organizations and food vendors. The Pickle Chase 5K run benefits the Dillsburg Kiwanis. There will be music throughout the day with various special performances sprinkled in. There will be a pickle eating contest, a magician, displays and demonstration by the Art Center, a community yard sale, children's activities and the Dillsburg Garden Club will be having a flower sale at 117 N Baltimore St. Publick Tyme at Dill's Tavern will have historical displays and demonstrations, tours, reenactors and encampments. 05/16 - Origami for kids at the Dillsburg Library from 5:30-7:30pm. Learn the art of Japanese paper folding. Free. Ages 8 and up. Registration is required by calling 717-432-5613.

05/16 - Museums-a-Minute at the Dillsburg Library beginning at 6:30 pm. Library Director and museum enthusiast Keith Greenawalt offers a whirlwind tour of the region's museums and historic sites. Find new places to explore and rediscover some old favorites. All of these sites are within approximately two hours of Dillsburg and make a great set of day trips.

05/17 - Block Party at the Dillsburg Library from 6-7pm. Come ready to build! This is for children ages 3-5. They play with blocks of different shapes and sizes to stimulate the imagination. Drop-in event.

05/17 - Coding Club: Scratch at the Dillsburg Library from 6-7pm. Solve a challenge or code for fun. Ages 8 and up, registration is required.

05/19 - Story Time at the Farmers' Market - Join Miss Sue for stories, rhymes, and songs on the law at the Dillsburg Farmers' Market. All ages, drop-in event.

05/21 - Live a Life with Less Pain: Fitness Safety for the Aging Adult - Geisinger Holy Spirit's orthopedics discusses topics related to pain management. Geared toward older adults. Please register at events.geisinger.org or by calling 717-972-4289

05/23 - Crafting for Adults: Collage a Rock at the Dillsburg Library beginning at 6:30 pm. Collage a kindness rock with Shelby Pizzaro. MAterials are provided. Ages 16 & up. Pre-registration appreciated.

05/31 - The Tech Guru will be at the Dillsburg Library to answer all your tech device questions. Drop in, no appointment required.
