07/05 - K-9 Officers at the Library. Meet the hard-working canine officers from the York County Sheriff's department. No registration is required.

07/05 - Lego Club is held the first Thursday of every month for ages 6 and up at the Dillsburg Library. We will provide Legos for this event. This program is free and no registration is required.

07/09-08/01 - Do you or a loved one have concerns about falling? The York County Area Agency on Aging will host classes for people to learn how to manage the risk of falling and increase activity levels. The free classes are part of an award-winning series called "A Matter of Balance." A Matter of Balance is meant for people who have concerns about falling, have fallen in the past, have restricted their activities because of falling concerns or are interested in improving balance, flexibility and strength. This program emphasizes practical strategies to manage falls. PArticipants will learn to : View falls as controllable; Set goals for increasing activity; Make changes to reduce fall risks at home; Exercise to increase strength and balance. Registration is now open for 2018 Summer Class at: East York YMCA, 4075 E Market Street, in East York. T classes will be held 11 am to 1 pm. Mondays and Wednesdays from July 9 thorough August 1. 07/12 & 07/26- Sit, Stay, Read - Youth readers can practice with Bliss, a trained service dog who loves to listen. Register for a 15-minute block by calling 717-432-5613 or stopping by the front desk at the Dillsburg Library.

07/14 - Mid Summer Event at Codorus State Park. Music and fun at the Band Shell at the Codorus State Park, with performances by Steven Courtney and Pete the Cat.

07/16-07/20 - Kids History Camp at Dills Tavern from 9:00am to noon. Introduce your kids to a love of American history with this one week program open to all third through sixth grade children. The camp gives kids the opportunity to live and play like children of America in the late 18th century. Daily activities include fiber arts, metalworking, woodworking, candle making and butter churning.

07/17 - Meet Pete the Cat at the Library. Story and photo opp with cool cat Pete of storybook fame. No registration required.

07/18 - You Write the Words with Theater Arts for Everyone at the Library. A Beginner's workshop on play and lyric writing for ages 10-16. Registration is required by calling 717-432-5613.

07/19 - Coding Club - Scratch at the Dillsburg Library from 6-7pm. Solve a challenge or code for fun. Ages 8 and up. Registration is required by calling 717-432-5613.

07/19 - Block Party at the Dillsburg Library from 6-7pm. Come ready to build! This is for children ages 3-5. They play with blocks of different shapes and sizes to stimulate the imagination. Drop-in event.

07/21 - Story Time at the Farmers' Market - Join Miss Sue for stories, rhymes, and songs on the law at the Dillsburg Farmers' Market. All ages, drop-in event.

07/22 - Hymn Sing & Social at the Historic Monaghan Church (15 E Church St). Celebrate a favorite Pennsylvania tradition during an afternoon Hymn Sing starting at 2pm. Don't miss this special community event sponsored by the Dillsburg Arts Council and NYCHAPS. Clair Zeiders will lead the hymn sing with the assistance of Herb Bomberger. The Hymn Sing will be followed by a homemade ice cream social at the historic Dills Tavern. This is a free event.

07/25 - Cupcake Wars Qualifying Round at the Library. Ages 13-18 compete in cupcake decoration. Top two competitors will go on to the county-level championships in August. Registration is required!!! Call 717-432-5613.
