Information Details:

08/12 - World War II Tribute Day from 9am to 4pm at Dills Tavern - NYCHAPS will host its annual commemoration of local World War II. The tribute begins at 9:00 am with WWII living historians, encampments, speakers, a small tactical demonstration and special exhibits commemorating the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. 08/12 - World War II Dance, featuring the Will Fisher Orchestra from 7-10 pm at Dills Tavern - The annual USO-style Big Band Dance under the stars will be taking place again this year in the courtyard at Dill’s Tavern (227 N Baltimore St). Jazz, swing and big band music from the 40's will be performed live by “The Will Fisher Orchestra,” under the baton of Clair Zeiders. Bring a lawn chair and your dancing shoes. The event is rain or shine. Light refreshments will be provided and period clothing is welcomed. Tickets are $15 per person and available at The Book House (11 N US Rte 15, #5) and MANEtenance Barber Styling (14 S. Baltimore St). 08/16 - Origami at the Dillsburg Library from 5:30-7:30 pm. Learn the art of Japanese paper-folding. Ages 8 and up, registration is required!

08/17 - Block Party at the Dillsburg Library from 6-7 pm. Ages 3-5 play with blocks of different shapes and sizes to stimulate the imagination. Drop-in event.

08/23 - Planning for Retirement at the Dillsburg Library beginning at 6:30 pm. Learn a six-step process to plan for retirement from setting goals to staying on the right path toward a comfortable future, with Joe George of Citizens'; Bank. The program is free, no registration required.

08/24 - The Tech Guru will be at the Dillsburg Library from 10:00am to noon to answer all your tech device questions.

08/24 - Sit, Stay, Read at the Dillsburg Library from 6-7 pm. Young readers can practice with Bliss, a golden retriever who loves to listen. Register for a 15-minute block by calling 717-432-5613 or stopping by the front desk.
